 Muscular Dystrophy Association
Café Metro is proud to be the only NYC restaurant establishment in New York City to help support the Muscular Dystrophy Association through the MDA’s Shamrock Program.
For the last several years Cafe Metro has raised over $100,000 and sent dozens of children afflicted with Muscular Dystrophy to specialized summer camps. The money raised also aids in affording the latest state-of-the-art wheelchairs and accessories to better help them navigate their way through life.
Through food donations for MDA’s corporate events and raising the money through our clients' kind donations, Café Metro is determined to help Jerry’s Kids find a cure. Our motto each year is “Here’s to our last year” in hopes that a cure is on the horizon.

Since 2008, Cafe Metro has worked with The Friends of Karen Organization in our continued effort to reach out to local organizations. The Friends of Karen is Dedicated to providing emotional, financial and advocacy support to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families and has served children throughout the New York metropolitan area for more than twenty-five years

 Carol Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund
We were very familiar with the Baldwin Families theatre and film legacy but when they came to us with their humanitarian cause for Breast Cancer research we were moved to join the fight. Over the last couple of years during Breast Cancer awareness month we have raised over $6,000 by selling Pink ribbons and bracelets to help fund the researches in their fight against cancer.
